Privacy policy

This policy covers halovistasystems.com, run by Halo Vista Systems in Nashville, Tennessee ("we", "us"). Protecting information is a large part of the work we do for clients, and we apply the same approach to our own website: collect as little as possible and use it only for the reason you gave it to us.

What we collect

When you send the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, company, email address, your message, and, if you choose to fill them in, the type of project and your timeline.

When you book a meeting, the booking page is provided by Google Calendar. The details you enter there are handled by Google under Google's privacy policy, and shared with us so we can hold the meeting.

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

If you save one of our digital contact cards, the file downloads to your own device. We don't receive anything when you do that.

How we use it

• To reply to your message or prepare for a meeting you booked.
• To keep a record of our conversation if you become a client.
• To keep the website running and protect it from abuse and spam.

We don't sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Cookies, tracking and analytics

This site does not use advertising trackers or cookies for advertising, and it does not use third-party analytics today. The pages load their fonts and scripts from our own site, not from other companies. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will name it here and describe what it collects before it goes live.

The companies involved

• Netlify hosts this website and receives and stores contact form submissions for us.
• Google Workspace provides our email, so messages and form notifications are delivered to our inbox there.
• Google Calendar provides our booking page. Your browser only contacts Google when you open that page by selecting Book a meeting.

Each of these companies processes information under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages and emails for as long as they're useful for the conversation or any work that follows, and delete inquiries that don't lead anywhere when we no longer need them. We may keep some records longer for accounting or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@halovistasystems.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Children

This website is for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Client work

This policy covers our website only. Information we handle while building systems for clients is covered by our agreements with those clients, and stays confidential.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
